ANARCHITECTON
 http://www.anarchitecton.com/

Tiago Simoes, the author of 'Anarchitecton', is an architect and designer from Portugal. The site - recently redesigned - features a resumé, and a portfolio of his work, including 3D images of university projects, drawings, animations and web design. Although the site is visually impressive, the extensive use of Flash slows things down, while the 'whooshing' background noises may not be to everyone's taste. [GAS, 5 Aug 2006].

G²Z Architects
 http://www.g2z.net/

Described as an "e-folio of young Italian architects", this site uses what it describes as "minimal flash design to give best result to their works, mostly projects for international competitions, [and] shows the studio's research in architecture through high quality images of real maquettes and 3D visualisation". In reality, the site appears to be designed entirely in Flash, but the technology is used with care to create a user experience that is rich and engaging. The menu system takes some getting used to, but the site's visual professionalism and image quality is impressive. [GAS, 15 Sep 2006].

Rui Cruz: Architecture Online Portfolio
 http://rcruz.no.sapo.pt/

This innovative site belonging to Portuguese architect Rui Cruz makes effective use of Flash, based around an enjoyable interface of interlinked cogs. The site includes Flash and 3D animations, as well as architecture and web design projects, and a small but interesting links section. As a portfolio site this works well - it is fun to explore, and gives a lively insight into the personality of the architect. [GAS, 8 Nov 2005].
