CSINet (Construction Specifications Institute)
 http://www.csinet.org/

The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) is an individual membership technical society whose core purpose is "to improve the process of creating and sustaining the built environment". The Institute provides technical information and products, continuing education, professional conferences, and product shows to enhance communication among all disciplines of non-residential building design and construction and to meet what it describes as "the industry's need for a common system of organising and presenting construction information". The site design is rather busy, but there's a lot of valuable content, with sections covering conventions, certification, education, technical documents, membership, chapters and forums. Visitors can also read the most recent issues of 'Construction Specifier', described as the industry's leading publication on construction technology, but access to the full archive, and certain other resources, is limited to CSI members.
