The Civil and Structural Engineering Forum site features discussion forums, portal features and directories aimed at the civil and structural engineering community worldwide. The site's 'directory' covers engineers, manufacturers and IT suppliers, though parts of it are rather thin in content. Meanwhile, 'portal' offers a good range of news, articles, jobs and downloads, while the forums, which require registration, appear to be quite well used. A bookstore highlights relevant books, magazines and software, with the facility to order items via Amazon.com. Though the Civil and Structural Engineering Forum does provide a worthwhile service, it would benefit from more 'personality' - at present, there is little indication of where it's based, or who's behind it.
