Steelbiz
 http://www.steelbiz.org/

Describing itself as "The Technical Library for Steel Construction", Steelbiz is an information system created by The Steel Construction Institute that gives those involved in steel construction direct access, through the Internet, to up-to-date, high quality, technical information. The home page is clear and neat with a prominent search box; however, the search results take a little getting used to - holding the mouse over a particular result displays an abstract of the document in question, causing all the other results to jiggle around the page. Upon clicking through, many if not all of the resources appear to be 'restricted', with users needing to enter their e-mail address in order to gain access. It's all very complex, but the site is undoubtedly a valuable resource for its intended audience. [GAS, 24 Aug 2006].
