Formerly the Department of National Heritage, DCMS is the UK government department with policy responsibility for museums, galleries and libraries, the built heritage, the arts, sport, education, broadcasting and the media and tourism, as well as the creative industries, gambling and the National Lottery. The site is organised according to these different responsibilities, and is attractively designed, offering an extensive range of documents, press releases and links throughout.
