ArtezPhotoVisions
 http://www.artezphotovisions.com/

The official Phil Artez website offers some stunning black and white photographs for sale, including "ballet, statues, journeys, portraits, fine art nudes, Venice Carnival, factory and research works". The site itself is not quite as successful - the layout of the site feels rather cluttered in parts, and the small size of most of the images makes it difficult to fully appreciate their quality and detail. However, the photography alone makes this site still worthy of a visit. [GAS, 11 Sep 2006].

Chameleon Imaging Ltd
 http://www.chameleonimaging.co.uk/

This site, belonging to Hampshire-based Chameleon Imaging Ltd, represents a portfolio of the company's work based around the three main areas of architecture, commercial and landscape photography. Chameleon seeks to "provide high-class images for clients' usage", and the quality of the photographs shown certainly is stunning - visitors can order copies via the site. Designed using Flash, the site presents a slick and professional appearance; as always, however, accessibility would be enhanced through an additional HTML version. [GAS, 11 Sep 2006].

Gallery Tokyo.com
 --NEW URL-- http://www.gallerytokyo.com/

Formerly part of the TS B/W Visual Portfolio' site, Gallery Tokyo.com is a black and white photographic portfolio for the Japanese photographer Tatsuyo Sato. This is a beautiful website - clearly and stylishly designed - which makes it both easily navigable and a pleasure to use. Sato's photographs are exquisite; they are visually striking and full of energy, often depicting street scenes and slices of life and a good selection of them are featured here. A biography section is useful in revealing a little more about the artist, while a helpful links page lists other art, photography and culture-related sites. Awarded a Sapling Commendation. Photojournalist Victor Strelkovsky - Back in ex-USSR
 http://www.svsphoto.com/

Launched in July 2004, 'Back in ex-USSR' is a showcase for the work of Belarussian photojournalist, Victor Strelkovsky, who describes his photography as "a matter of life" for the last sixteen years. That's certainly the way it seems too, with Strelkovsky working as a photocorrespondent for the Belorussian association of friendship and culture affairs with foreign countries, Literature and Art weekly, and the national newspapers The Soviet Byelorussia and The Republic. Strelkovsky's work, organised into a series of themed galleries, is the product of "a great number of journalistic trips and journeys around his country - Belarus. The country of deep forests and blue lakes, the country of the Chernobyl tragedy, the country of childhood, love, sufferings". Some of the images of Chernobyl's effects, for instance, are eerie and chilling; at the same time, others portray the beauty of the country's landscapes, or the humour of its people. The site also includes an interesting biography of the photographer, and a page of links to photography and art resources; Russian and English versions are provided. Overall, this is a fascinating site, containing some stunning and evocative images. By offering such a rich insight into a country few people know anything about, its arrival can only be welcomed. Awarded a Sapling Commendation. [GAS, 5 Mar 2006].
