Chuck Christopher - Welded Steel Sculpture
 http://www.chuckchristopher.com/

This small but enjoyable site is a showpiece for Chuck Christopher's lifesize wildlife sculptures, each one constructed from welded steel. There is a gallery with decent quality photographs of the sculptures in situ, plus information about their construction, and a section covering work in progress. However, the site would be significantly enhanced by the addition of more detailed annotation and background information about the artist. [GAS, 11 Sep 2006].

Jonathan Hedge - Stone Carver
 http://www.carvinginstone.co.uk/

Jonathan Hedge specialises in "carvings for private and public sculptural commissions in various types of stone for restoration, contemporary sculpture, design and landscape features". The site is understandably centred around a portfolio, featuring excellent quality images of Hedge's work. Visitors can click on the thumbnails to view individual pieces, or take advantage of the slide show provided. Many of the carvings, it has to be said, are quite stunning. A helpful links page includes well-chosen links to stone, landscape, architecture and artist-related sites. [GAS, 19 Oct 2006].

Michael Dan Archer - Sculptor and Public Artist
 http://www.archersculpture.co.uk/

Lincolnshire-based Michael Dan Archer is a sculptor and public artist who has exhibited widely throughout Britain, including solo exhibitions at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Djanogly Gallery at The University of Nottingham. He has also exhibited and made works at sculpture symposiums in Japan, S.Korea, Italy, Sweden, Germany, Dubai and the Czech Republic. The highlight of this enjoyable site is a 'gallery' section with details and good quality images of Archer's sculptures and public art commissions, which use media as diverse as granite, marble, steel, bronze, neon and light projection. Elsewhere, the site features some interesting essays, the CV of the artist, details of his involvement at various international symposia, and a worthwhile links page. The site itself is neatly and attractively designed, though if there is one quibble, it is that the grey text and blue links don't quite provide enough visual contrast with the navy background.
