GENETIC CODE (4*n) is a project promoted by an international group of young architects (enrico nieri studio (ITA), , SMAQ (D), S’A Arquitectos (P), centola associati (ITA)) whose aim is to constitute a text found on the exchanging and indexing of terms, words, concepts regarding reserches managed in architecture by young architects both at national and international level.

It’s a “theoretical and synthetic data base” of terms, which is able to become a complex and multidirectional system of ideas that can show directions or suggest new visions; a platform in the respect of ideas’ freedom.

It’s not a theoretical text, not even an explicative document of concepts, but it’s a list, a sequence of words, a piece of the uncodified helix of architecture’s DNA, given to be interpreted, manipulated or made partially operative.

Besides this first group, we’ll select other young studios at national and international level, that will be able to send their sequence to take part in the establishment of the text; after that, the document will be spread and published on international and national magazines, web sites as well at events and international exhibitions.
