Riga Deserves Better' is the website of a citizen initiative presenting an alternative model for the Latvian capital's spatial development based around three principles - a "city of easy access"; "one big integrated centre for everybody"; and a "vital circle" transport ring. The site is available in Latvian, Russian and English languages - however, avoid the temptation to 'skip' the Flash introduction, as this takes you straight to the Latvian version. Illustrated throughout, the site features theoretical background on the proposals and the authors behind them, together with a news section, letters page and links. An interesting and engaging site.
