Based in London, the world's first Museum of Garden History is at the restored church of St Mary-at-Lambeth next to Lambeth Palace, the London residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury. The website is attractively designed and packed with useful historical details, including comprehensive and well-illustrated information about the Tradescant Garden, a 17th century style knot garden created on the site of the old church graveyard. The 360 degree panoramic views of the garden are particularly evocative. Other features of the site include an up-to-date events listing. Awarded a Sapling Commendation. [GAS, 13 May 2008].

Taigh Chearsabhagh

This award-winning arts centre and museum is run by artists and residents of North Uist, in the Outer Hebrides in Scotland. Supported by the Scottish Arts Council, the centre is a focus for life in North Uist, welcoming visitors "to experience the arts, culture and heritage of the islands in a friendly and stimulating environment", and playing an important role in Scottish historical conservation with its artefacts and oral recordings. The site is a pleasant affair, detailing upcoming exhibitions and workshops for both local and international artists. There is adequate information on these items, with plenty of pictures to give a taste of what is to come. Overall, the website is well suited to its purpose of simply, yet attractively, alerting people to the important work the centre does for Scottish heritage. Awarded a Sapling Commendation.
