FranklinRees is an architectural, interior and landscape design practice based in the heart of Birmingham, specialising in "creating multimedia marketing solutions [for] clients across a wide range of sectors". A visually appealing splash page links to four subsites, including architecture, media design, recruitment and a client area. The former covers the firm's architectural, landscape and graphic design work, with extensive illustrated coverage of its GIS, visualisation and other services, and a well-annotated and illustrated portfolio section showcasing previous projects. Meanwhile, the recruitment section includes details of available vacancies and gives candidates the opportunity to apply online. When Sapling last visited the site we commented that accessibility would be improved if the text was displayed normally rather than being embedded as images, so it's really positive to see that this has now been changed. Since its inception, MadMarchHare has "worked on some exciting projects with pioneering and highly respected architects, landscape architects, and arboricultural consultants gaining experience in a diverse range of projects, both large and small". The firm's site is well illustrated and quite enjoyable, featuring examples of presentation images and 360 degree photography as well as background about the firm. US-based Stoney Brooks Garden Designs say that they "take the hottest landscape design software and put it in the hands of the landscape do-it-yourselfers". By e-mailing a high quality digital image of their home as it currently appears, homeowners can receive a digitally designed, realistic image showing how their property could look after landscaping, and a list of suggested plants based on the zone of the property. It is an interesting concept, but the site is just a single page at the moment, with basic information about pricing, and just a couple of 'before and after' images. [GAS, 11 Sep 2006].
